i2 Technologies today announced that Companhia de Bebidas das Americas, or AmBev (NSE:ABV), is live with i2 transportation solutions to help it reduce logistics costs, improve service levels and extend its mission of increased environmental responsibility. AmBev selected i2’s entire suite of transportation solutions, along with the i2 Agile Business Process Platform, to help plan and manage its transportation operations throughout Latin America.
AmBev intends to use i2 solutions to help optimize deliveries and increase asset utilization, including both equipment and dock scheduling. The company can improve service levels by using i2 solutions to increase on-time delivery performance, consolidate shipments and reduce mileage, reduce damage-in-transit and gain better visibility into shipment status.
