Whos Who in Third Party Logistcs 16th Edition Released

STOUGHTON, WI – The 16th edition of the leading third-party logistics guide, Who’s Who in Logistics, has just been released. The new edition, in two volumes – The Americas and International, has been expanded with in-depth profiles of 242 3PLs.

Of the 3PLs profiled, over 70% are private versus publicly traded companies. Who’s Who in Logistics profiles individual 3PL financial information, key personnel, information technology, and service capabilities. In addition, editorial evaluations, case studies and important news events are reported. Information is presented in sufficient detail to allow companies to quickly evaluate providers for logistics outsourcing initiatives.

Global supply chain managers such as C.H. Robinson, CEVA, DHL, Expeditors, Kuehne + Nagel, Penske, Ryder, and Schenker are covered extensively. In-depth profiles are also presented for continentally based major players Fiege, Menlo, NFI, Ozburn-Hessey, Kenco, Kerry, Rudolf and others. Important niche specialists like ATC Logistics & Electronics, BNSF Logistics, Freightquote, GENCO, Luis Simoes, SCI Logistics (Progistix), Transplace and Verst Group are reviewed in detail.

“Since our first publication in 1994, our guides have become a primary information source for third-party logistics market information,” said Richard Armstrong, chairman of Armstrong & Associates. “We are pleased with the quality of our global information expansion. 119 of the 3PL profiles highlight international providers. Each profile includes assessments of 3PLs overall capabilities, strengths and weaknesses and identifies 3PLs with the requisite capabilities necessary to be classified as Tier 1 Global Supply Chain Managers. These providers have extensive IT capabilities, over 5,000 employees and provide service to 90% or more of the world’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).”

The two volumes contain 1,384 pages of information. They are available as PDF file versions or via an internet on-demand version as an annual subscription. Online subscribers also receive the PDF file versions of the guide with their annual subscription. For premium market information, companies often purchase our Expert Information Service (EIS) which includes an online guide subscription, our annual financial, warehousing, and customers of 3PLs reports, and four hours of phone consulting for a discounted price.
